BioA mini-biography, huh? I hate writing these...
Well, not much to say, really. Was born in Kiev, Ukraine, when it was still part of USSR. I speak Russian and can probably manage Ukrainian. My father worked at the university in Kiev, and then got sent as part of educational aid to Ethiopia, where eventually my mother, sister and me joined him for 4 years. We then moved to Lesotho (check it on the map, it's a country in Southern Africa that is landlocked by the Republic of South Africa). 2 years there. (During this time we also acquired our wonderful dog, Romka, a border collie.) Then we moved to Republic of South Africa itself, where I've been living for the past 10 years or so. I live in a beautiful town called Port Elizabeth, on the Indian Ocean.
I am in the UK for a year to do my Masters in Statistics, after which time I'll probably be going back to South Africa and being a good girl and getting a job.
